No. not at all. I have a little DIY on the K2 harness. But another member bought the same fogs as I and got a different harness. Not sure why.

You just have to give it a pull. It'll come off, as long as you took off all the screws, bolts, and clips.

Give it a gently tug and it will come right off.

if i'm not mistaken, that is soldering paste. Just leave it in there.

Thats just packing grease to keep water out, get as much of it out as you can before connecting.

Wire 1. Expose the actual wires. You cannot connect this anywhere. Instead you will have to solder it on to a thick guage baby blue wire located on the bottom most 20 pin connector (maybe not 20 but its a long rectangular one)

Wire 2. Before you plug this in, remove the wire and stick it in the opposite corner. Then plug it in like this:

(Image courtesy of 8thcivic member "mrk")

Wire 3. This one you have to get on your back and look under the dask. Way deep in there, you'll see an open brown connector. Stick there there. While you're at it, position Wire 5 neatly and cable tie it.

Wire 6. Ground wire. You will see a 10mm bolt that is currently holding 2 other ground wires, loosen that and bolt ground wire there.

Wire 4. Switch. Is your case Sedan or Coupe? You should have an open/blank spot on the left side of your dash. Pop the cover out from the inside. Kinda have to squeeze and push.

Hope this helps. There are other members here who have this same harness. I've had a bit of experience with it and I wish I had pictures to help you out but I hope the above helps you for now. Let us know if you need further help

thanks for the help, another question , since last night staying up and fiddling all night...

1. was originally connected to the fog light harness (the one that connects the two fog lights) i unhooked it and connect the fog light harness to the brown connector in the front left where the washer tank is. ( i made it fit now)

so does that mean 1. should now be connected to the the brown connector under the dash?

(side question: the two brown connectors pre install by honda to serve as the power line running across the firewall?)

2. i will look into this one.. I was looking at the 07 installation guide of the OEM fog lights.. and it mention to pull out the white 34pin connector. and put in the red/white wire into the top slot and the blue wire into the bottom
slot (http://www.handa-accessories.com/civic/072drfogs.pdf) page9. however my harness dont come in those color so what i attempt last night was ..

asuming that 3 was the replacement for blue wire and 2 was the replacement for red/white wire. would that be correct.
i hope i dont confuse you guys, but i trying to explain it so that we are not confuse about what wires are what.

btw.. can any one tell me what the slots are for? like the slot for the red/white wire... what is it function?
and what about the blue wire?

also ...base on what Truflip.. if i use wire 2 as he said.. to plug it in the fuse box.. whats is it function?
maybe i got my wires mixed up... some how.

thanks for the help i be checking all day today.. cuz i need to finish this project school start monday.... grrrrrrrrr

You cant install it. you can turn it on and stuff it behind the left dash, or go fork out the cash for the OEM steering wheel control.
