K&N intake FTW!! It makes this car sound better and makes the transmission shift smoother. Got mine at AutoAnything...great price!

why would the dealership void the warrantee? what kinf of dangers can I run into with the pullies.

Intake and exhaust will probably be done, after lowered and wheels.

Performance Upgrades for an Auto: (that I did or will do)

Rear Sway (don't really need front sway, rear's make a world of difference)

Lowering Springs (eibach pro or megan, anything more than an 1 inch drop and you're smashing the ground over potholes, especially if you're looking into getting a lip and skirt kit)

K&N intake. (or just the drop in filter, I've noticed a nice change in response withthe K&n filter over the stock filter, jsut didn't ahve $$$ for an intake, that's in a few months)

Some nice wheels, good tires, dont' skimp on the rubber! You get nice wheels, get awesome rubber, rubebr makes a nicer ride toom and sets you apart form the 'grandma's and grandpa's' who stick with inexpensive rubber on their stock wheels.

Mind you, I saw a woman in her late 60's driving a nhbp sedan with tint, vent visors and chrome wheels... might have been her sons.. dunno... the plate said g'ma.

Most inexpensive place I found so far has been Parts Source.

Just a quick comparison: K&N drop in air filter. Performance Improvemnts Quoted me $80, and Parts Source was $60. Maybe P.I. Quoted me on a kit with the recharger. But I asked just for the filter and that's what I got quoted.

Parts Source is a good place, if it's not in stockl, they get it with a few days, if it's a special order, it is there within three bussiness days (unless they don't have stock)

I've only had it for 2000km so far. I like it, what's bad about it? Did they reset the ecu to relearn how to breath with the new filter, it is different than stock.

It's like riding a 2 speed bike for years, then throw your self on a 10 speed. You haev no idea how to ride it until someone tells ya how. SO your engine needs to adjust to the new filter and loose it's old way of thinking. (that's just my opinion)

*grins*

I'll let ya know how it is after an oil change or two. I do plan on getting a CAI next year.

I was very intrested in buying it about 5 months ago and posted up some questions about it in the forums. I went from very intrested to very.... unintrested. What I basically got from my research is that while the K&N drop in does allow more airflow and better sound, it does let more dirt into your engine. Honda does not put air filters in their cars that will make it sound louder or go faster, but instead filters that, well... filter the best. That was Honda's purpose for putting in the stock paper filter. It saves a lot of crap from entering your engine that the K&N would allow. More air flow means more crap in your engine. Honda wants to keep their cars running for as long as possible- they have had that reputation for a long time now. Basically, I decided against the K&N because I plan to have my car for a long time and if Honda knew of technology that would make a better filter for their car, they would have put it in. Thats why I think the stock is best.... for me at least. If you want more info, do a search on it in the forums. There is a lot of great information on it.

interesting read. I just purchased the K&N intake from autoanything, with that kinda price i cant hardly pass on it.
Next mod im planning to do is try to get my hand on a greddy ti-c exhaust system.
i also want to lower my car with the eibach lowering kit but i heard the sedans will bounce like crazy without coilovers, can anyone confirm this? or would it be fine if i just get lowering springs without coilovers?
